Spherion is seeking experienced CNC Setup Machinists for direct-hire roles with a Global Fortune 250 Aerospace Leader in Ogden, Utah. We offer a long-term career home with structured step-progression pay, exceptional benefits, and the stability of a global manufacturing powerhouse.

You will operate in a clinically clean, 6S, temperature-controlled environment, machining high-value aerospace components that require high precision and tight tolerances.

Responsibilities:

• Perform complex setups, tear-downs, and first-article inspections on multi-axis CNC mills or lathes.
• Read and interpret complex aerospace engineering blueprints, geometric dimensioning, and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Edit G-code/M-code at the machine control panel to optimize tool paths and cycle times.
• Perform statistical process control (SPC) data collection and verify parts using advanced inspection tools.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to troubleshoot machining issues and improve processes.

Working hours:

3:00 PM - 1:00 AM

Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree or journeyman card preferred.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (required for aerospace security clearing).
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

4-7 years

Qualifications:

• 3 to 5+ years of experience in CNC setup, blueprint reading, GD&T, and precision machining.
• High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree or journeyman card preferred.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (required for aerospace security clearing).
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
