Summary
The Business Development Specialist will play a crucial role in enhancing the brand presence and marketing efforts for our mortgage advisors. This individual will be responsible for customizing marketing templates (flyers, social media posts, slide decks for presentations) using Canva, managing social media content across all platforms using SOCI, facilitating video editing through 3rd party vendors, and ensuring consistent and engaging communication across various platforms including Total Expert.
The ideal candidate possesses a positive, proactive demeanor and a collaborative spirit. This role is designed for a person who is a willing problem solver and creative thinker with a passion for personalized brand development.
- Content Customization
Customize marketing templates, including flyers, social media posts, newsletters, and email messaging using Canva and Total Expert. Ensure all content is on‑brand and aligned with company messaging, as well as maintaining compliance. - Social Media Management
Manage and curate content for social media platforms, including but not limited to Linked In, Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, Google and You Tube. Schedule and post engaging content that drives brand awareness and engagement using the SOCI content management platform. - Video Production
Collaborate with mortgage advisors to manage the creation and third‑party editing of videos for social media, ensuring high‑quality production and adherence to brand guidelines. - Client Communication
Design and send personalized messages via email and snail mail, manage client and partner gifting (closing, under contract, anniversary, etc.), enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty. - Project Coordination
Work closely with the marketing team, mortgage advisors, and external vendors to coordinate marketing efforts and ensure timely delivery of projects. - Technology Leveraging
Leverage existing Intercap Lending technology including , Encompass, Simple Nexus, ChatGPT, Homebot, and others to implement and optimize marketing strategies.
- Training in marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field is a bonus, but not required.
- Understanding of mortgage terms and concepts.
- Team‑oriented, problem solver.
- Proficiency in Canva and desired, but not required.
- Proficiency in CoPilot or AI alternative.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and current trends.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
This position will work out of a few different offices in the Northern Utah area. Must be willing to commute to the locations. We will go over this more in the interview.
