Position: Airman Ministry Coordinator (AMC)

Position Overview

The Airman Ministry Coordinator (AMC) supports the Hill Air Force Base Airmen Ministries program by developing and coordinating activities that promote spiritual resiliency, character development, leadership growth, community connection, and overall well-being among Airmen. The coordinator serves as a key support resource for single and junior Airmen by creating a welcoming, inclusive, and substance-free environment focused on fellowship, mentorship, personal growth, and service.

The Airman Ministry Coordinator (AMC) supports the Hill Air Force Base Airmen Ministries program by developing and coordinating activities that promote spiritual resiliency, character development, leadership growth, community connection, and overall well-being among Airmen. The coordinator serves as a key support resource for single and junior Airmen by creating a welcoming, inclusive, and substance-free environment focused on fellowship, mentorship, personal growth, and service.

The AMC will work closely with the Wing Chaplain and Chaplain in Charge (CIC) to plan, organize, and execute ministry programs, events, retreats, and outreach activities while maintaining respect for all faith groups and supporting the Air Force Chaplain Corps’ commitment to religious freedom and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and support Airmen Ministry activities, including weekly gatherings, fellowship events, recreational activities, community service projects, and leadership development opportunities.
  • Organize and execute annual spiritual retreats and special events for Airmen, including event planning, coordination, setup, and follow-up reporting.
  • Support weekly ministry activities such as Bible studies, fellowship dinners, and other approved Airmen engagement programs.
  • Recruit, train, coordinate, and support ministry volunteers to assist with program activities.
  • Prepare required reports documenting activities, attendance, outcomes, challenges, and recommendations.
  • Coordinate program resources, supplies, and funding documentation in accordance with Chaplain Corps procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in theology, Ministry, Religious Studies, or an equivalent accredited academic degree.
  • Previous experience in ministry, mentoring, community outreach, or leadership development preferred.
