Overview

As a Registered Nurse at Ogden Regional Medical Center, you’ll have staffing support, technology and resources to deliver safe, high-quality care.
Responsibilities- Welcome each perinatal patient to the Family Birth Place and promote a sense of security in the care they will receive, demonstrating confidence in caring for their needs and the baby’s wellbeing.
- Demonstrate clinical expertise in antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and newborn nursery care.
- Support the family-centered maternity care model.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
- Communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient condition, including fetal monitoring and results of diagnostic studies.
- Participate in department process improvement activities.
- Maintain composure and professionalism, especially under pressure.
- Current State of Utah or Compact Registered Nurse License.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and obtain within 7 days of hire.
- Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification and obtain within 90 days of hire; maintain certification.
- S.T.A.B.L.E. certification – obtain within 90 days of hire and maintain.
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and fetal monitoring certification preferred; obtain within 90 days of hire and maintain.
- One or more years of Labor and Delivery experience strongly preferred.
- For non-experienced L&D RNs:
Introduction to Fetal Monitoring within 2 weeks of orientation; ACLS and IFM within 1 year;
Advanced Fetal Monitoring within 2 years; completion of FHM Educational Update module every 2 years or as required.
