# Job Opportunity – Behavioral Health Registered Nurse – Utah

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Ogden, Utah

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-week assignment; rotating weekends required; no on-call responsibilities

Highlights:

• Work in a dedicated behavioral health environment supporting both acute care treatment (ACT) and behavioral health unit (BHU) patients
• Manageable patient ratios: 1:5 on ACT unit and 1:7 on BHU unit
• Collaborative team structure with charge nurse, RNs, and behavioral health technicians on each shift
• Experience with Meditech Magic EMR system
• Opportunity to provide trauma-informed, compassionate care in a supportive treatment setting
• Standard equipment including Welch Allyn vital signs machines, bladder scanners, and basic monitoring tools

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification required
• Trauma-Informed Care training preferred
• Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric, or substance abuse treatment settings highly valued

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for patients in behavioral health and detox settings
• Administer medications and monitor patient response
• Perform glucose checks and monitor laboratory results
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams to support patient recovery and stabilization
• Float between Alcohol and Chemical Treatment (ACT) detox unit and Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) psychiatric unit as needed
