What You’ll Do

  • Launch, analyze and manage quality documentation related to New Launch Programs for AOA's Assembly Plants.
  • Assess new line quality controls and repeatability.
  • Determine and champion new control and monitoring methods to ensure first‑time quality.
  • Monitor process capability and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Champion quality initiatives on the manufacturing floor.
  • Deliver on quality related metrics for the area (non‑quality cost, customer PPM, new launch readiness, etc.).
  • Manage effective time and drive continuous improvement and systemic defect elimination initiatives within the area of ownership to achieve sustainable results.
  • Promote the knowledge and application of the Standards.
  • Actively contribute to the reduction of TNQC.
  • Champion fundamental quality approaches (PPAP, FMEA, IATF, VDA, Jidoka, Zero Defect, Quality First, etc.) both in design and process within the production team.
  • Lead by example, acting as an ambassador for Autoliv by demonstrating the Autoliv Way and Q5 behavior.
  • Define specific quality training requirements for the scope of ownership.
  • Evaluate team work and identify growth opportunities for individual members.
  • Ensure all applicable customer‑specific product quality requirements for the product area are fulfilled.
  • Report on quality performance indicators.

    Enforce stable and in‑control processes.
  • Maintain launch timelines to meet key dates.
  • Review reports, documentation and customer concerns directly with customers.
What Is Required
  • Bachelor’s degree highly preferred; candidates with several years of QE experience without a degree who demonstrate strong comprehension, problem‑solving, and learning skills may be considered.
  • Experience or understanding of the Autoliv Production System or a fast‑paced production environment is preferred.
  • Understanding of technical drawings, advanced problem‑solving skills, knowledge of mechanical systems and production line processes.
  • Professional communication skills and the ability to be front‑facing to customers.
  • Keen eye for quality and the ability to juggle multiple critical projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in a manufacturing field is beneficial.
  • Quality certifications are beneficial.
  • 8D problem‑solving experience is beneficial.
