Job Description
The QA Technician II will use change skills to lead improvements in the quality application of the employees on the shift. This position ensures overall adherence to the quality standards and works in conjunction with production supervisors to improve process controls and product quality.
Responsibilities- Analyze, interpret, and act on quality data including HACCP, Net Weights, and EQA results to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Share findings with production supervision and support action plans to maintain and improve quality standards.
- Audit production processes to ensure testing, quality checks, and programs are consistently followed across the shift.
- Collaborate with supervisors, QA technicians, and management to ensure quality systems are effectively implemented.
- Train employees on quality procedures including SPC, HACCP, AIB, charting, testing, and housekeeping standards.
- Support implementation and auditing of new quality programs and lead end‑of‑shift QA review meetings to discuss issues and root cause analysis.
- Maintain responsibility for food safety, food defense, and product quality while performing other assigned duties.
- BS in Food Science, Microbiology or related field or comparable experience.
- 3‑5 years of technical related experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Full‑time permanent role on D shift (rotating schedule Wednesday through Saturday, 5pm–5am). Pay starts at $28.33 per hour.
