R&D Senior Laboratory TechnicianWe are seeking anR&D Senior Laboratory Technician to support the development and testing of innovative medical products. This is a hands-on laboratory role working closely with engineers, scientists, and other technicians on product development, testing, validation, and continuous improvement activities.
Responsibilities- Perform hands-on analytical and wet chemistry laboratory testing.
- Prepare chemical solutions using standard formulas and perform volumetric pipetting and related calculations.
- Set up, operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Perform experiments and test developmental products to verify specifications.
- Assist with equipment, test method, and test system validations.
- Analyze and document test results, including basic statistical and trend analysis.
- Prepare laboratory reports, graphs, charts, SOPs, and other technical documentation.
- Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and documentation in accordance with cGMP and company procedures.
- Maintain chemical, reagent, material, and equipment inventories.
- Troubleshoot laboratory issues and make recommendations when appropriate.
- Collaborate closely with technicians, engineers, and scientists on R&D projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry required.
An Associate degree with extensive directly related experience may be considered. - Coursework in general chemistry, organic chemistry, and analytical chemistry.
- 1+ year of analytical laboratory/wet chemistry experience required; 2–3 years .
- Hands-on instrument laboratory experience required.
- Experience with volumetric pipetting and related laboratory calculations required.
- Experience preparing solutions, performing dilutions, unit conversions, and other basic chemistry calculations.
- Strong laboratory documentation and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- HPLC, LC-MS, and/or GC.
- Laboratory equipment calibration and routine maintenance.
- Test method or equipment validation.
- SOP and technical report writing.
- cGMP or other regulated laboratory environments.
Someone with a strong chemistry background who enjoys hands-on laboratory work and has experience with analytical instrumentation, wet chemistry, pipetting, solution preparation, and accurate laboratory documentation.
