Hourly Pay Rate: $15.00 to $30.00 an hour
- To carry out assigned activities, operations and programs within the police department including routine foot patrol, traffic control, crime prevention and events.
- Primary and principal duties also consist of the prevention and detection of crime and the enforcement of criminal statutes or ordinances of the state or any of its political subdivisions.
- This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Utah Driver License.
- Utah Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T) SFO State Certification (Active Status).
- Work a minimum of 20 hours every 6 months.
- Letter of good standing with current employer.
- Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to use word processing software required.
- Associate Degree.
- Utah Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T) LEO State Certification (Active Status).
- Currently employed full time as a Law Enforcement Officer.
- Experience working large crowd events and traffic control.
