Position: Mechanical Critical Facility Technician 2 - Ogden, UT with Security Clearance

Clearance Requirements
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
License/Certification Requirements
  • Must possess EPA 608 certification.
  • Must pass the NITC Journey Level HVAC Exam within the first year of employment.
  • Preferred:
    Already passed the NITC Journey‑Level HVAC Exam.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair complex mechanical systems in data centers, hospitals, and manufacturing plants.
  • Operate, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, CRAC/CRAH units, and air‑handling units.
  • Install, maintain, and repair minor plumbing systems, pumps, valves, and piping.
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Monitor and control environmental systems using BMS platforms such as Niagara Tridium, Siemens, and Johnson Controls.
  • Read and interpret mechanical, plumbing, and electrical diagrams to perform maintenance and repairs.
  • Track and document work orders and maintenance activities using CMMS software.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Six or more years of work experience, including at least three years of direct experience in a critical facility operation such as a data center or hospital.
  • Experience with chillers greater than 300 tons or significant mechanical experience.
Physical Demands
  • Lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Relocate a 12‑foot stepladder without assistance.
  • Work at heights up to 60 feet using scaffolds, aerial lifts, ladders, and catwalks.
  • Perform repetitive tasks such as walking, climbing, lifting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead.
  • Require good vision (corrected if necessary), color vision, hearing, and the ability to communicate in English.
