Job Description
The Army National Guard utilizes many forms of sophisticated equipment on and off the field. As a Special Electronic Devices Repairer, you will ensure that vital instruments and tools – including night vision equipment, electronic distance and azimuth‑orienting devices, battlefield illumination devices, and nuclear, biological, and chemical warning and measuring devices – are meticulously maintained and operational.
Responsibilities- Test instruments, navigational controls, and simulators.
- Read technical diagrams and manuals.
- Replace parts and perform troubleshooting.
- Ensure quality control measures are followed.
- Inspect equipment and simulate combat conditions during training.
- Advanced level repairers supervise and train other soldiers.
- Interest in mathematics, problem‑solving, and electronic equipment repair.
- Strong attention to detail.
Receive 10 weeks of Basic Training and 25 weeks of Advanced Individual Training in a classroom and field. Earn a regular paycheck and qualify for tuition assistance while you learn.
