Keep critical machinery humming
Join us in Ogden, UT as a fully onsite Millwright & Equipment Reliability Specialist. Reporting to the Supervisor of Maintenance, you’ll be the hands and mind behind safe, reliable operation of our tools, machinery, process equipment, and systems—from installation through long-term upkeep.
Your mission
Be the craft expert who prevents problems before they happen and fixes them fast when they do. You’ll blend precision machining, welding, and diagnostics to minimize downtime and maximize asset life.
Impact areas
Installation & Repair:
Use blueprints and drawings to install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and systems.
Reliability Routines:
Execute preventive and predictive maintenance—inspect equipment, detect wear and faults, and keep meticulous preventive maintenance records.
Component Overhauls:
Rebuild/repair pumps, valves, blowers, compressors, vessels, conveyors, and other mechanical process equipment; fabricate equipment or components as needed.
Precision Machining:
Run lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, and machinist tools to make/repair parts to spec.
Lubrication Program:
Manage oils and greases to the correct standards and schedules.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose performance issues and replace or repair defective components efficiently.
Process Environments:
Safely handle systems involving acids and alkalines; fiberglass; plastic and metal piping, fittings, and materials; and metal melting/fabrication equipment.
Tools of the Trade:
Apply hand tools (manual and power), material handling equipment, and gas/electric arc welding gear daily.
Team & Training:
Coordinate work with the central maintenance shop; assist maintenance technicians/engineers; periodically lead lower-classified craftsmen and train others as assigned.
Standards:
Observe all safety rules, maintain a clean workspace, and return tools, unused materials, and references to designated locations.
Flexibility:
Primary responsibilities are listed; additional tasks may be assigned as operational needs evolve.
What you’ll need
High School diploma or GED.Five (5) years of mechanical craft experience, including three (3) years in mechanical industrial maintenance.
Trade/technical school education in industrial mechanical maintenance may count toward part of the experience requirement.
