Responsibilities- Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values.
- Welding and fabrication, a plus but not required.
- Diagnose and rebuild equipment; perform electrical diagnosis as needed.
- Perform plant inspections, diagnose problems, and perform plant maintenance.
- Complete major road calls and perform field repairs.
- Inspect and perform preventive maintenance of equipment.
- Prepare and maintain records and reports.
- Maintain tools as required to do the job.
- Operate forklift.
- Review, understand, and adhere to all union contracts.
- Maintain insurable driving record.
- Ensure a safe and healthful work environment at all times.
- Must be able to obtain DOT medical card.
- Must be able to use troubleshooting programs – Cummins Insite, Davies, etc.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three years journeyman experience and/or two-year diesel mechanic certificate preferred.
- Sitting: 20% of the time
- Standing: 85% of the time
- Driving: 15% of the time
- Weight lifted:
Up to 50 pounds - Physical movement:
Frequent kneeling, bending, stooping, crawling, twisting, handling objects, lifting, and sustained physical activity. - Speaking/Listening:
Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and hear and distinguish sounds. - Working Conditions:
Exposed to hazardous equipment, outdoor and indoor environments, and variable lighting and noise conditions.
- Attention to safety and ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to work long hours and move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, electronics, and related components.
- Skilled in welding, cutting, and fabrication (a plus but not required).
- Knowledge of towing, recovery, lifting, rigging, conveyor systems, fueling systems, and complex electrical systems on vehicles/equipment.
