Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable, experienced Foreman to oversee and manage daily field operations for excavation and utility installation projects. The ideal candidate will be a hands‑on leader with strong communication and organizational skills. Team members are encouraged to take ownership of their work, support coworkers, and contribute to a respectful, safety‑conscious environment.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise excavation and utility crews on-site
  • Coordinate daily tasks and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Operate heavy equipment as needed (excavators, backhoes, etc.)
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, including OSHA and company policies
  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
  • Communicate with project managers, subcontractors, and inspectors
  • Keep accurate records of job progress, materials, and hours worked
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in excavation or underground utilities
  • Prior experience as a Foreman or Crew Lead
  • Proficiency in reading construction drawings
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Experience installing water, sewer, and storm drain systems
  • Knowledge of laser levels, GPS equipment, and trench safety
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in the field
