R Local CDL Delivery Driver (Open) – Ogden, UT
Airgas is hiring a Local CDL Driver in Ogden, UT. This role serves as the crucial link between Airgas and customers, delivering compressed gas cylinders and related products, and providing excellent customer service.
What You'll Do- Be a Customer Ambassador: primary point of contact for customers, driving an established route and handling orders, resolving service issues, and building strong relationships.
- Safety and Efficiency: safely load, transport, and unload products from company-provided straight or box trucks, adhering to all DOT and company regulations.
- Be a Team Player: assist in-store with customer service at the counter or over the phone and help other drivers as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain Your Vehicle: perform routine maintenance checks and keep your truck clean and ready for daily routes.
- Physical Demands: routinely lift 25–75 lbs, up to 125+ lbs with assistive equipment; frequent bending and up to 8 hours of driving daily on hazardous cargo.
- Experience:
at least one full year of Class A or B CDL driving under DOT requirements, or a recent graduation from an accredited driving school. - Certifications:
Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain Hazmat upon offer contingency. - Clean Record: clean Motor Vehicle Record and at least 21 years of age.
- Skills:
ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and read/comprehend material safety data sheets.
