Aviation Inventory Control Coordinator
Full‑time position located in Ogden, UT. Starting pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour.
We’re hiring an Inventory Control Coordinator responsible for performing a range of inventory, logistics, and support functions that includes evaluating and managing inventory and inventory needs across all GMR Air Business units. Oversee inventory cycle counts and perform inventory and process audits. This position will also contribute to the development of new and existing processes and procedures.
This coordinator will report to the Supply Chain Logistics Manager and maintain inventory accuracy in all inventory warehouses and locations, ensuring all incoming aviation parts are entered into the system to meet company guidelines and are maintained in serviceable stock that meets FAA and industry requirements.
Key partners include:
- Purchasing Department – receiving and cost discrepancy
- Accounting Support – accuracy and timeliness of received inventory
- Safety & Quality – safe warehouse operations and FAA compliance
- Maintenance Managers & Aircraft Mechanics – on‑time delivery of parts and communication of delays
- Other GMR Air Business Unit supervisors and managers for coordination and efficiency
- Receive all incoming parts, verify invoices/packing sheets and physical quantities.
- Inspect all aviation parts for serviceability and traceability to meet FAA and industry requirements.
- Facilitate shipping support for all outgoing materials, ensuring products are within expiration dates and serviceable condition before shipping.
- Package products to protect integrity and guard against damage or loss.
- Ensure shipping methods comply with maintenance delivery times and hazardous materials regulations before arranging appropriate shipping.
- Maintain inventory stock levels.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and 6S standards in inventory storage locations.
- Return parts/cores as necessary.
- Perform periodic physical inventory counts and audits to ensure appropriate quantities of items are stocked in the correct locations.
- Resolve inventory discrepancies between systems and physical counts, including stock checks, cycle counts, research, and correcting misplaced, mislabeled, or missing products.
- Organize stock on shelves per system‑specified zone and bin locations using FIFO rules, identify obsolete and expired products, and ensure the warehouse is well maintained and staging areas are clearly defined.
- Process all material requisitions by accurately picking and processing orders, proactively escalating supply issues that directly result in work stoppages and grounded aircraft.
- Provide after‑hours/weekend support for AOGs (rotational on‑call schedule).
- Resolve accounting, receiving, and quality issues to ensure timely acceptance and payment for material.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.
Required Qualifications
- Two (2) years of experience with supply chain concepts.
- Advanced computer skills, preferably experience using a computer‑based inventory tracking system.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Aviation industry experience.
