Branch Operations Manager Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results‑driven Branch Operations Manager to lead and oversee all operational functions of a branch facility. The role requires a proven operations leader with strong warehouse, logistics, and team management experience who can ensure operational excellence, maintain high service levels, and drive continuous improvement. The Branch Operations Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the branch, including personnel leadership, inventory management, logistics coordination, safety compliance, and operational efficiency.

This individual will play a critical role in maintaining service reliability while improving processes, controlling costs, and supporting business growth.

Core Responsibilities Branch and Operational Management
  • Lead all daily warehouse and distribution operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, shipping, and delivery coordination
  • Ensure operational efficiency, accuracy, and productivity across all branch functions
  • Maintain high standards for inventory control, organization, and accuracy
  • Monitor operational performance and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
Team Leadership and Accountability
  • Directly supervise warehouse personnel and delivery drivers
  • Recruit, train, and develop employees to build a strong, reliable operations team
  • Establish clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable to operational standards
  • Foster a professional, disciplined, and safety‑focused work environment
  • Address performance issues promptly and professionally
Inventory and Logistics Management
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure proper storage and handling of materials
  • Oversee inbound and outbound freight coordination and carrier relationships
  • Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment to meet customer expectations
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and operational issues
Financial and Operational Oversight
  • Manage branch operating expenses and support budget adherence
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs
  • Support facility planning, equipment utilization, and operational resource management
  • Ensure branch operations support overall company performance objectives
Cross‑Functional Coordination
  • Work closely with sales, purchasing, and corporate leadership to support customer needs
  • Ensure operational readiness to meet changing project and customer demands
  • Support implementation of operational systems, tools, and process improvements
Qualifications Required Experience
  • 5+ years of warehouse, distribution, or logistics leadership experience
  • Proven experience managing warehouse teams and daily operations
  • Strong working knowledge of inventory control, shipping, receiving, and distribution processes
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, enforce standards, and improve operational performance
  • Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, hands‑on operational environment
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, operations management, or related field
  • Experience managing branch‑level operations with full operational responsibility
  • Experience implementing process improvements and operational efficiencies
Technical Requirements
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems and operational software
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license and eligibility to work in the United States
