Gryphon Environmental Hazardous Material Pour-Down Facility Operator
Gryphon Environmental is looking for a dependable, self-motivated individual to operate the Hazardous Material Pour-Down Facility at Hill Air Force Base.
This is a hands-on position—not a desk job. You'll be responsible for receiving, preparing, labeling, tracking, and delivering hazardous materials used to support aircraft maintenance operations across Hill AFB. You'll work independently most days, keep the facility organized, interact with Air Force personnel, and make sure daily operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities- Operate the Hazardous Material Pour-Down Facility
- Receive and inventory hazardous materials
- Prepare and transfer chemicals into approved containers
- Print and apply OSHA/GHS compliant labels
- Track inventory using Air Force computer systems (training provided)
- Deliver hazardous materials throughout Hill Air Force Base
- Restock reusable containers
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and delivery vehicles
- Coordinate hazardous waste pickups
- Identify inventory shortages and reorder needs
- Train new employees on daily operating procedures as needed
- Communicate operational issues to Gryphon management
- Is dependable and shows up ready to work

- Able to obtain flight line driving certification
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working around industrial chemicals while using appropriate PPE

Physical Requirements And Environmental Conditions
- Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Work will require the regular utilization of hand and finger dexterity, as well as close vision, distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility to include but not limited to walking, standing, climbing, bending, reaching, turning, kneeling, crouching, or crawling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner.
There is a possibility that, due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required. Must be able to lift, move, and transport items frequently over 10 pounds, occasionally up to 25 pounds. - Work is generally conducted in an inside environment, but may also involve some outside work, depending on the task. The inside environment may be in an office or cubicle with close quarters, with low to moderate noise, and bright or dim lighting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
Outside work may include various environmental conditions including hot and cold climates. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
