Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Newburgh, Indiana.

Medical Surgical Floor (MS) registered nurse position in a hospital setting. This role involves providing direct patient care for a variety of medical and surgical patients in a 32-bed unit. The nurse will be responsible for assessments, administering medications, and documenting patient care in an electronic health record system. The position requires flexibility to float within the skillset and participate in holiday rotations.

• Schedule:
  
  12-hour nights shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  
  Current active compact license, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification. At least 2 years of strong Med/Surg experience, including trauma level II experience, recent electronic charting (EPIC) experience, and a minimum of 1 travel assignment.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Excellent teamwork skills, resilience, ability to manage change, and strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Float:
  First to float within skillset; potential to float to nearby campuses with a 2-hour notice.
• Additional Information:
  This role may involve precepting students and new hires. Candidates must be prepared to work in Navy blue scrubs without competing healthcare system or agency logos. The assignment is for a 13-week period starting on 10/19/2026, ending on 01/17/2027.
• Note:
  
  This position requires working three weekends out of every six-week schedule and every other holiday. Also, there is a requirement to attend interviews on Monday through Friday.
