Overview
Kenyon College is conducting a search for a qualified candidate to serve in the position of Student Accounts Coordinator for the Accounting Office. This is a full-time hourly position with benefits. The hourly rate of pay is $17.96. Successful completion of duties requires a thorough understanding of, and adherence to, College policies. Willingness and ability to work collaboratively as well as independently is required.
General responsibility includes assistance in the management and maintenance of student account records, billings, receipts, and maintenance of department records on Federal Perkins and Institutional student loans.
- Communication with students, parents, student loan borrowers and responsible parties.
- Posting of miscellaneous charges, student payments, and receipts.
- Reconciliation of general ledger accounts and running the monthly billing process.
- Maintaining student loan records and processing payments.
- Associate degree in accounting is preferred.
- Experience in an accounting or finance office is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
- The candidate must be punctual, reliable, and able to work with interruptions during peak activity periods.
- Effective and professional communication skills, high degree of organization, and strong time management are required.
