We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team at DEWESoft, LLC in Whitehouse, OH. This role is perfect for a technical expert who enjoys being hands-on with the books while acting as a reliable point of contact for our Accounting Team.
You’ll serve as the primary support to the Controller, ensuring our daily operations run like clockwork. While you’ll oversee the general accuracy and flow of the team’s work, you’ll stay deeply involved in the high-level technical accounting that keeps our records precise.
Core Responsibilities- Workflow Oversight:
Monitor the daily work of the Accounting Team to ensure accuracy in AP, AR, invoicing, and collections. - General Ledger Management:
Maintain and reconcile key accounts, including cash, fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, and other balance sheet items. - Income Statement Review & Analysis:
Review revenue and expense activity to ensure accuracy, investigate fluctuations, and confirm results align with operational expectations. - The Monthly Cycle:
Lead the charge on journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure a smooth, timely month-end close. - Financial Reporting:
Assist the Controller in preparing monthly reports and year-end financial statements. - Audit & Compliance:
Support audit activities by preparing necessary schedules and ensuring all processes align with GAAP/IFRS standards. - Process Support:
Review and approve standard transactions (vendor invoices, expense reports) and suggest ways to make our daily workflows more efficient.
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field. - Experience:
5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Prior experience overseeing, reviewing, or checking the work of others is required. - Technical
Skills:
Strong technical knowledge of GAAP/IFRS. High proficiency in Excel is required (Quick Books experience is a plus). - Mindset:
You have a sharp eye for detail, a commitment to accuracy, and the communication skills to help the team resolve issues effectively. - Credentials: A CPA or public accounting background is a plus, but not required.
