Controller, Accounting, Accounting Manager

Hixen Search Group has partnered with a stable and well-respected manufacturing and distribution company to identify a Controller. This individual will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations while serving as a trusted business partner to ownership and leadership. • Oversee monthly financial reporting and close process
• Manage general accounting operations including AP, AR, and payroll oversight
• Maintain accurate financial statements and internal controls
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Support operational leadership with financial analysis and decision‑making
• Coordinate with outside CPA firm on tax and audit‑related matters
• Improve accounting processes and reporting efficiencies where appropriate

• Manufacturing and/or distribution accounting experience
• Strong general accounting and financial reporting background
• Ability to operate in a hands‑on environment
• Experience managing month‑end close and day‑to‑day accounting operations
• Strong Excel and systems skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• CPA
• Cost accounting experience
• ERP system experience
• Experience working in small to mid‑sized businesses
