Staff Accountant

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to support financial accuracy, reporting, and operational analysis in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

This role offers a strong mix of accounting responsibilities, inventory support, vendor communication, and cross-functional collaboration, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

+ Prepare and analyze journal entries for balance sheet and income statement accounts

+ Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations

+ Assist with reporting and analysis

+ Support physical inventory counts and inventory reconciliations; some travel may be required

+ Investigate and resolve pricing variances

+ Communicate with vendors to address discrepancies

+ Process inventory adjustments and provide related analysis

+ Serve as backup support for accounts payable activities

+ Produce daily, monthly, and ad hoc financial reports

Requirements

+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy

+ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

+ Process-driven mindset and comfort working with financial systems

+ Effective written and verbal communication skills

+ Strong math skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel

+ 2 or more years of relevant accounting experience

+ Bachelors in accounting preferred
