Payroll & Benefits
- Processing payroll for all of Ardent, non‑union, all in Ohio.
- Process accurate and timely payroll.
- Approximately 60% salaried / 40% hourly.
- No commission calculations required (only data entry).
- Add new hires and enter proper tax information.
- Maintain and update payroll records, deductions, garnishments, and changes.
- Manage employee benefits.
- Add or remove employees from benefit plans (terminations & new enrollments).
- Manage benefit changes.
- Maintain knowledge of tax laws and payroll compliance.
- Post payroll to the general ledger.
- Reconcile payroll liability GL accounts monthly.
- Prepare journal entries related to payroll and benefits.
- Process and reimburse payables related to company properties.
- May touch the accounting system as needed for reporting or entries.
