Payroll & Benefits

• Processing payroll for all of Ardent, non‑union, all in Ohio.
• Process accurate and timely payroll.
• Approximately 60% salaried / 40% hourly.
• No commission calculations required (only data entry).
• Add new hires and enter proper tax information.
• Maintain and update payroll records, deductions, garnishments, and changes.
• Manage employee benefits.
• Add or remove employees from benefit plans (terminations & new enrollments).
• Manage benefit changes.
• Maintain knowledge of tax laws and payroll compliance.

• Post payroll to the general ledger.
• Reconcile payroll liability GL accounts monthly.
• Prepare journal entries related to payroll and benefits.
• Process and reimburse payables related to company properties.
• May touch the accounting system as needed for reporting or entries.
