Canal Fulton – Direct Hire

Compensation: $130,000–$140,000 per year plus bonus.

A growing, private equity-backed manufacturing organization is seeking a Director of Accounting & Finance to lead financial operations at the business‑unit level. This role is designed for a hands‑on financial leader who thrives in operational environments and enjoys building structure, elevating teams, and partnering closely with plant leadership.

As the organization evolves its finance structure, this leader will play a critical role in strengthening accounting discipline, enhancing operational reporting, and supporting leadership with actionable financial insights.

• Lead day‑to‑day accounting and financial reporting for an assigned business unit or site.
• Own the monthly close process, ensuring timely, accurate financial statements.
• Partner with Operations to support cost control, productivity, and profitability initiatives.
• Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Translate financial results into clear insights for non‑financial stakeholders.
• Establish and improve internal controls, policies, and financial processes.
• Build, mentor, and oversee a local finance/accounting team.
• Serve as a trusted finance partner to site leadership and corporate finance.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and/or finance.
• Prior leadership experience managing or developing accounting teams.
• Background in manufacturing, industrial, construction, or related operations‑based environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally with Operations or Supply Chain teams.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
• Comfortable operating in a hands‑on, onsite leadership role.

• CPA or MBA.
• Experience in a private equity‑backed or growth‑oriented organization.
• Exposure to multi‑site or decentralized finance structures.
