Senior Audit Manager (with Tax Exposure)

OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Audit Manager with both audit and tax responsibilities. This dynamic role is designed for someone who brings well‑rounded public accounting experience and enjoys client‑facing work in assurance and tax. The position is growth‑oriented and may evolve into a Partner role over time.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, support, and manage audits, reviews, and compilations for a variety of clients
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP and GAGAS
- Understand and contribute to the firm’s Quality Control system
- Assist clients with day‑to‑day accounting, month‑end close, and reconciliations
- Evaluate internal controls and provide recommendations for improvements
- Work with clients across industries such as healthcare, real estate, tech, manufacturing, not‑for‑profit, and more
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for entities—including partnerships, S‑corps, C‑corps (including some international clients)—and individual tax returns
- Assist in tax planning and compliance across various jurisdictions
- Support clients with sales tax, multistate, and international reporting requirements
- Mentor and manage accounting staff and seniors, providing technical training and professional development
- Contribute to process improvement and firm initiatives including quality control
- Support business development efforts and identify opportunities for growth within existing and new client relationships
- Grow into serving as primary advisor for a portfolio of clients in a range of industries
- CPA required
- 15+ years of experience in public accounting
- Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and tax law
- Proficient in accounting and tax software (e.g., CCH Pro System fx, CCH Engagement, Quick Books, MS Office, Excel)
- Excellent communication skills and client‑facing confidence
- Organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of juggling multiple engagements
- Eager to learn and grow in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment with unlimited opportunities
