Sr. Accountant

Description

Robert Half Talent Solutions has partnered with a rapidly growing manufacturing organization as they look for a meticulous, driven, and analytical Senior Accountant to join their finance team. In this role, you will help ensure the accuracy of financial data, support strategic decision-making, and maintain the overall financial health of the organization. You will work closely with the Controller to improve accounting processes and ensure compliance with financial policies and GAAP.

Based on general knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

+ Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions.

+ Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations for bank statements and balance sheet accounts.

+ Assist with preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and internal financial reports.

+ Support month-end and year-end close by preparing journal entries, accruals, and related documentation.

+ Oversee and review accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, resolving discrepancies promptly.

+ Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies, and support internal and external audit requests.

+ Conduct variance analysis against budget and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency.

+ Assist with tax filing support and weekly cash flow analysis to help maintain operational liquidity.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

+ 2-4 years of public accounting experience OR

+ Experience in a GL accounting role in manufacturing.

+ Strong knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting.

+ Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.

+ Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%.
