Job Summary
Our client, a leading company in the food distribution industry, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate III to support their Accounts Payable (A/P) function at their Northwood, Ohio location. This is a temp-to-hire position offering the opportunity to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.

Schedule:
Monday Friday, 8:30 AM 5:30 PM, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break
Location:
Northwood, OH (Onsite)
Travel:
None required

Key Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices received via email, fax, and mail
- Print, distribute, and track invoices for the A/P team
- Retrieve and distribute incoming mail
- Perform three-way matching using Purchase Orders, Bills of Lading/Receiving Documents, and Vendor Invoices
- Scan and index vendor invoices accurately into accounting systems
- Communicate with vendors to research and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Support accurate and timely payment operations in a high-volume environment
- Maintain organized records and documentation for audit and tracking purposes
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable processing
- Experience performing three-way matching
- Strong vendor invoice processing skills
- Experience with invoice scanning and indexing
- Effective vendor communication and discrepancy resolution skills
- Prior experience in a high-volume A/P environment
- Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in food distribution, manufacturing, or similar industry
- Familiarity with standard accounting software platforms
- Strong Excel and data entry skills
- Associate's degree or coursework in Accounting/Finance a plus
About the Role
This role supports a fast-paced, high-volume Accounts Payable department for a well-established organization in the food distribution industry. The position offers strong potential for permanent placement based on performance. Interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
