Senior Accountant

We are looking for a
Senior Accountant
to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

This is a strong opportunity for an analytically-minded accounting professional to bring both technical accuracy and forward-thinking recommendations to a growing finance team, in a hybrid role based in Westerville, OH.

• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
• Prepare entries to general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions
• Generate continuous improvement ideas to reduce complexity and improve accuracy across accounting processes
• Prepare and/or review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring activity is accurate and reconciling items are cleared timely
• Provide management teams with accurate and timely financial analysis, including scenarios, options, and recommendations as needed
• Assist with the integration of acquisitions and the appropriate accounting treatment of divestitures

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to draw insights from financial data
• Solutions-oriented mindset; comes with recommendations in addition to questions
• Self-starter with solid organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities or shifting project needs

• Direct exposure to M&A activity, including acquisition integration and divestiture accounting
• A seat at the table for financial analysis that actually informs management decisions, not just historical reporting
