A fast-growing Northeast Ohio public accounting firm is seeking a Tax Manager to lead tax and accounting engagements and help guide the firm's continued growth. This is a great fit for a motivated tax professional who wants genuine leadership responsibility, room to grow, and a flexible, team-oriented environment rather than a rigid corporate structure.
Responsibilities- Manage and oversee tax and accounting assignments, ensuring high-quality delivery
- Review and file individual and business tax returns with a strong focus on accuracy and detail
- Manage multiple concurrent client engagements
- Conduct tax research and provide practical solutions for clients and team members
- Lead and develop a growing team, mentoring and training staff on technical and career growth
- Deliver timely, high-quality client service that exceeds expectations
- Proactively identify and resolve client concerns and performance opportunities
- Build relationships with referral sources and centers of influence to support firm growth
- Stay current on tax legislation and share relevant insights with clients and the team
- Pursue ongoing professional development
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of professional tax experience
- CPA or EA certification required
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Excellent team and project management skills
- Deep knowledge of tax legislation
