Controller, Accounting, Accounts Receivable​/ Collections

Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Controller in CORTLAND, Ohio. The successful candidate will be part of and manage a team that is responsible for managing and overseeing the financial transactions and records of our company. This role is critical in ensuring the financial health and transparency of our operations.

Responsibilities:

- Manage and oversee the recording and reconciliation of financial transactions, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

- Oversee the process of vendor invoices, expense reports, ensuring accurate coding and approvals.

- Conduct regular bank reconciliations and approve transactions.

- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records for multiple properties, including rental income, expenses, vendor invoices, utility bills, and maintenance costs.

- Execute month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.

- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

- Oversee cash and currency management, including posting receipts and preparing bank deposits.

- Ensure regulatory compliance and reporting, including tax filings and audits.

- Utilize accounting software and other relevant systems to perform accounting functions effectively.

- Use Microsoft Excel and other relevant tools to manage and analyze financial data.

Requirements - Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

- Familiarity with all Accounting Functions

- Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

- Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

- Knowledge of Auditing practices

- Familiarity with Budget Processes

- Experience in Commercial Property Management

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
