The Naval Nuclear Laboratory develops advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology and trains world-class nuclear operators to ensure the safety and reliability of our Navy’s submarine and aircraft fleet. Our company is looking for a Document Control Professional to join our team.
The Document Control Professional will be responsible for maintenance and administration of the Kesselring Site’s Electronic Document Libraries of manuals, instructions, and reference documents to support our Navy training mission.
Additionally, the Document Control Professional will work with document owners to ensure configuration management through document change processes. The Document Control Professional will review and edit documents to ensure quality and compliance with applicable standards. The Document Control Professional will also lead and participate in projects to improve our document control processes and make documents more accessible for increased efficiency and improved user experience.
Responsibilities• Responsible for maintenance and administration of the Kesselring Site’s Electronic Document Libraries of manuals, instructions, and reference documents to support the Navy training mission.
• Work with document owners to ensure configuration management through document change processes.
• Review and edit documents to ensure quality and compliance with applicable standards.
• Lead and participate in projects to improve document control processes and improve accessibility for increased efficiency and user experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- DOE L Clearance
Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Proficient in Adobe Acrobat Professional, Bluebeam Revu, or similar PDF editing software
- Strong PC skills and experience with a variety of publication software and markup languages desired, including XML, SGML, MS Word, and PDF.
- Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint (site ownership, page design, lists and libraries, etc.)
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the aptitude to communicate effectively to the team and external stakeholders
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
