Position: Full-Time Deputy Clerk of Court City of Moraine
Location: Moraine

Description

The City of Moraine is seeking applications for a Full-Time Deputy Clerk of Court. This position will be responsible for using the highest standards of integrity in compiling and maintaining records in a fast paced, challenging environment with constant public interactions; must be able to multi-task in most aspects with the required job duties. Provides exceptional customer service in person and while on the phone with defendants, attorneys and other agencies.

The role assists the Clerk of Court by completing clerical and administrative duties in a timely manner and assisting with coordination of court matters. The Deputy will be responsible for maintaining cash payments and deposits on a daily basis. The court works closely with the Police Department to maintain the most proficient procedures in a constantly changing atmosphere.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Candidate must be willing to work past 5 p.m. on Wednesdays and on Saturday or Sunday when needed.

Salary

Salary Range- $24.06 – $30.70 per hour with an excellent benefit package which includes vacation, sick leave, personal days, paid holidays, health and life insurance.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED and knowledge of modern office practices required. Knowledge of municipal policies preferred.
  • Three years prior work experience in customer service, clerical, cash handling and administrative work; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office for maintaining and proofreading records with a focus on Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally to a diverse audience.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Can demonstrate dependability, reliability and an excellent attendance record.
  • Must be able to become LEADS certified and maintain complete confidentiality of court information.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Pre‑employment drug screening and background check is required. All candidates must be willing to submit to random drug screenings
  • Possess valid Ohio state driver’s license
