Overview
Kenyon College is conducting a search for a qualified candidate to serve in the position of Student Accounts Coordinator for the Accounting Office. This is a full-time hourly position with benefits. The hourly rate of pay is $17.96. Successful completion of duties requires a thorough understanding of, and adherence to, College Policies. Willingness and ability to work collaboratively as well as independently is required.
General responsibility includes assistance in the management and maintenance of student account records, billings, receipts, maintenance of department records on Federal Perkins and Institutional student loans.
- Communication with students, parents, student loan borrowers and responsible parties; posting of miscellaneous charges, student payments, and receipts; reconciliation of general ledger accounts and running the monthly billing process.
- The Student Accounts Coordinator is responsible for maintaining student loan records and processing payments.
- The candidate must be punctual, reliable and possess the ability to work with interruptions during periods of peak activity.
- Effective and professional communication skills are critical, as well as a high degree of organization and time management.
- Skilled use of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
- Experience in an accounting or finance office and an Associate degree in accounting is preferred.
