The position acts as the office coordinator for the Old Woman Creek National Estuarine Research Reserve, handling budgetary, procurement, payroll, and grant management. It also includes routine administrative duties, providing technical advice to administrators, overseeing grant timelines, managing fiscal responsibilities, and handling public relations duties.
Responsibilities- Act as office coordinator for budgetary, procurement, payroll, and grant management.
- Draft and sign simple correspondence, set up office procedures, coordinate daily workflow, and revise manuals and procedures.
- Provide technical information and advice to administrators to aid decision‑making regarding office logistics and facility management.
- Oversee grant timelines and requirements.
- Perform fiscal duties related to bill payment, procurement of supplies and equipment, vendor negotiations, and maintenance of fiscal records.
- Conduct public relations duties by researching and responding to public inquiries.
Minimum 18 months experience in a secretarial/administrative professional field OR completion of associate core coursework in secretarial science or business office applications from an accredited career school or community college. 6 months experience as Administrative Professional 1 (class 16871) is also acceptable. Equivalent class qualifications may be considered.
