Job Description

What You'll Do:

  • Photographs and fingerprints all new inmates and employees
  • Prepares employee and inmate
  • Maintains
  • Prepares fingerprint cards and sends to BCI
  • Maintains records of all fingerprint cards sent and returned
  • Identifies special problems, including criminal history reports of employees or applicants and immediately reports them to supervisor and to staff Personnel Department
  • Maintains confidential and secure files
  • Maintains all related records
  • Prepares and issues clear concise reports.
  • Enforces all custody and security rules
  • Performs custody duties similar to correction officer when required
  • Attends training at institution
  • Carries and maintains qualifications in weapons, unarmed self defense and other required areas
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Develops and maintains offender images for escape flyer [placeholder]

Qualifications:

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals & percentages & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary; 2 courses or 6 mos. exp. in photography & use & maintenance of related equipment; 2 courses or 6 mos. exp. in fingerprinting methods, techniques & use & maintenance of equipment.
