OIU agents are sworn peace officers responsible for carrying out these responsibilities and enforcing criminal violations that occur in relation to their investigative duties.

What You'll Do as an Administrative Professional 1
  • Composes, types, & may sign routine correspondences.
  • Types from oral instructions &/or dictation correspondence, reports, & confidential material pertaining to operation of district office.
  • Researches & prepares reports, answers questions & responds to requests in areas not requiring personal attention of supervisor.
  • Prepares typed copy from oral or written instructions, correspondence, reports (e.g., Investigation Report & Request for Citation, evidence records, sketch of premises, arrest reports & search reports) & confidential material pertaining to the District Office.
  • Performs routine clerical tasks (e.g., order supplies, answers phones, takes messages, screens & directs calls to proper personnel, maintains files & retrieves information, copies & distributes material accordingly).

Qualifications

1 yr. trg. or 1 yr. exp. in secretarial science or business office applications. For positions requiring technical terminology, applicants must also have 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in relevant technical terminology.
