Job Purpose:

The Body Shop Detailer is responsible for meticulously cleaning and restoring vehicles to a pristine condition, ensuring that each vehicle meets the highest standards of appearance and cleanliness. This role is crucial in enhancing customer satisfaction by delivering vehicles that look and feel like new.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform thorough cleaning of vehicle exteriors and interiors, including washing, waxing, vacuuming, and polishing.

Inspect vehicles for any damage or imperfections and report findings to the body shop manager.

Apply protective finishes to enhance the durability and appearance of vehicle surfaces.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the detailing area and equipment.

Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of detailing tasks.

Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any specific detailing requests or concerns.

Required

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in automotive detailing or a related field.

Experience working in a body shop environment is preferred.

Proven track record of delivering high-quality detailing services in a timely manner.

Skills and Abilities:

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Proficiency in using various detailing tools and equipment, including buffers, polishers, and vacuums.

Knowledge of different cleaning agents and chemicals, and their appropriate use on various surfaces.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.

Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with team members and customers.

Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
