About ER AutocareER Autocare is seeking an experienced Automotive Inspector in Plain City, OH, with earning potential of $60, per year. This Monday-Friday role rewards accurate, efficient vehicle inspections and includes medical, dental, and vision insurance. You'll work for a growing, multi-location auto service company focused on integrity, craftsmanship, quality, efficiency, and taking care of customers.
Key Responsibilities- Perform thorough vehicle inspections with speed and precision, targeting completion within 20 minutes of work starting
- Work with a Lube Technician to complete oil changes and inspections within 15 minutes or less
- Identify vehicle service, repair, and safety needs through detailed inspections
- Build accurate estimates in the shop management system for identified service and repair needs
- Explain inspection findings directly to waiting customers and answer questions clearly
- Perform quality-control checks and cross-check fellow technicians' work
- Partner with the Store Manager on shop processes, speed, quality, and continuous-improvement projects
- 3-5 years of hands-on automotive technician experience
- Advanced knowledge of vehicle systems and mechanical repair
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately identify vehicle service and repair needs
- Comfortable using computers and shop management software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to move and position items weighing more than 50 pounds and perform required standing, bending, reaching, and stooping, with or without reasonable accommodation
- $60, annual earning potential
- Paid for each qualifying inspection performed, excluding re-inspections within 90 days
