Encore Funding is looking for a Director of Sales who is aggressive, driven, and ready to lead a high-performing outbound sales organization from the ground up. You will lead from the front, set the standard for execution, and create a culture that wins. This is a true builder role. You will carry a quota early, architect the system, recruit a top-tier team, and scale a revenue engine that consistently delivers.

What You Will DoBuild around the Outbound Engine- Design and implement the full outbound sales motion, including playbooks, KPIs, sequences, and reporting.
- Establish and enforce a performance culture grounded in activity, skill, and accountability.
- Drive continuous experimentation, testing, and optimization across channels.
- Carry a quota in the early stage to set the tone and establish best practices.
- Step into key deals, run advanced discovery, and close from the front.
- Demonstrate high-output execution so the team has a model to follow.
- Hire competitive, hungry BDMs with the skill and drive to win.
- Train, coach, and hold reps accountable to real standards.
- Create a team environment where performers thrive and underperformance is addressed quickly.
- Own team quota, pipeline quality, and forecasting accuracy.
- Ensure disciplined CRM hygiene and a tight operating cadence.
- Oversee the structuring and qualification of deals to align with underwriting.
- Work with marketing on messaging, campaigns, and lead generation strategy.
- Partner with credit, underwriting, and operations to accelerate deal cycle times.
- Use field intelligence to influence product strategy and target selection.
- 7 to 15 years of B2B sales experience with a track record of hunting and closing.
- Proven experience building or scaling an outbound sales engine.
- Strong understanding of lending, underwriting, cash-flow cycles, or financial services.
- A competitive, hungry mindset with the discipline to operate consistently.
- Comfortable selling to CEOs, founders, and CFOs.
- Ability to recruit, coach, and develop top-tier sales talent.
- Data-driven thinking combined with sharp instincts and strong communication skills.
- A predictable, consistent outbound pipeline.
- A sales team that operates with urgency and precision.
- Quota attainment across all reps, not just the top producer.
- Accurate, transparent forecasting and clean CRM data.
