Business Development Lead

Overview

This newly created position has been created to rapidly build and scale a presence in the German market. As the first senior hire on the ground, the successful candidate will own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy, with a strong focus on new business generation and closing opportunities. The role is highly commercial, involving market entry, strategic partnerships, stakeholder engagement and, over time, the build-out of a local team.

The organisation operates within the satellite and space connectivity ecosystem, delivering technology-driven solutions to institutional and commercial customers. It is entering a critical growth phase, combining strong technical capability with increasing market traction across Europe. The culture is entrepreneurial, fast-moving and closely connected to senior leadership.

• Experience operating within the German space ecosystem, with strong knowledge of key commercial players, institutions, and procurement processes.
• Proven background leading commercial business development activities end-to-end, including partnerships, proposals, tenders, and contract negotiations.
• Experience in a senior expansion, general management, or first-on-the-ground role within a technology or space-focused organisation, with 7–10 years’ relevant experience.
