We are looking for a Head of Cross-Product Management (m/f/d) for SCM Operate & Service to run the cross-portfolio product management function for SCM Operate & Service. This senior leader will manage a lean and elite team that is driving portfolio strategy, partner strategy, customer engagements, as well as overall stakeholder collaboration (e.g., marketing, sales, consulting, partner, external event organizers, external communities).
This role will be reporting to Chief Product Officer for SCM Operate & Service.
The senior leader is expected to be working in tight partnership with CPO as well as product line leaders as the portfolio voice – internally as the strategic integrator across products, and externally as a credible, industry‑facing thought leader representing SAP’s vision for asset‑centric and service‑centric industries.
Your responsibilities- Shape portfolio strategy across build‑buy‑partner pathways, delivering clear investment proposals and portfolio performance measures
- Drive portfolio governance to ensure efficient cross-product dependency management and timely execution on strategy
- Maintain a single source of truth narrative for product strategy, differentiated positioning and competitive strategy
- Establish and strengthen partnership with marketing, sales, consulting, partner organization as well as other supporting functions to ensure open and continuous feedback loop, consistent messaging and high‑speed execution on strategy
- Shape and execute partner ecosystem strategy in close collaboration with product line leaders and partner organizations
- Drive product references and externally publishable outcomes in coordination with communication and marketing
- Represent SCM Operate & Service at external events and create thought leadership aligned with product strategy
- Represent product teams to support critical customer de‑escalations or strategic deals
- 15+ years in enterprise software product leadership roles, having experience in managing multi‑product portfolio strategy
- Strong Asset and Field Service Management domain knowledge: EAM/CMMS, APM, reliability / maintenance processes, service operations / field service, asset health, master data governance for assets, and IoT
- Proven ability to drive cross‑organization alignment in matrix organizations and run governance without relying on formal authority
- Recognized industry credibility (speaker, publications, strong practitioner network in asset & field service domain)
- Demonstrated success in building partner ecosystem and scaling products for market success
