This is how you make impact as a Category Buyer:
As a Category Buyer (m/f/d), you will implement the procurement strategy for the suppliers and segments assigned to you in coordination with the Head of Procurement and Corporate Procurement. In doing so, you will ensure a smooth procurement process, the implementation of supplier management, and the awarding of contracts. You will be based in the Procurement division, Strategic Procurement department, and will work on a flex-time schedule.
This is a full-time, permanent position.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with many years of professional experience, or a Master’s degree or Diplom with several years of professional experience, in either economics or electrical engineering
- Excellent knowledge of business administration combined with technical expertise
- Relevant professional experience in an international purchasing and procurement environment
- In-depth knowledge of national and international contract law as well as negotiation techniques; active experience in project and interface management
- Business-level English proficiency and intercultural competence
- Extensive knowledge of PC applications and IT software
- Analytical, structured, and results-oriented approach to work
- Proactive mindset, high level of commitment, professional and confident demeanor
- Initiative, assertiveness, strong communication skills, and negotiation skills
- Making strategic decisions regarding the desired nature and intensity of future relationships with suppliers in close coordination with Group Procurement
- Expanding supplier management and defining precise targets and measures to improve performance potential and collaboration with strategically important suppliers
- Providing technical support to the on-site procurement team
- Evaluating suppliers within the area of responsibility and, where necessary, managing escalations
- Conduct market research and analysis for potential suppliers and establish supplier partnerships
- Plan, execute, and optimize strategic procurement activities within the product group
- Conduct innovation workshops and business review meetings with suppliers
- Analyze financial and supplier metrics; conduct price and terms benchmarking
