ResponsibilitiesDeal Discount Analysis
Coordinate proposal development directly with sales management and Manager Pricing Analytics. Perform margin and pricing analysis to support key business initiatives. Analyze market dynamics, pricing trends, market opportunities, operating and sales margins to develop reports, procedures and tools for pricing and quoting.
Support Product Management and Manager Pricing Analytics to develop and implement product price strategies including segment strategies for various markets and channels. Perform monthly analysis of existing transactional level data to identify price/margin erosion and assist General Manager Pricing & Data Analytics, sales and product management teams in constructing and implementing solutions. May collaborate with PMs to build dashboards for MPR and Price Strategy meetings that include 5-year forecast, margin analyses and market share growth strategies.
Product and Customer Profitability
Download and organize baseline price information, analyze and report on inconsistencies, and identify opportunities to optimize sales and customer profitability through price strategies. Establish a system of documentation, communication and review of internal and external comparative price data, including wins and losses due to price.
Provide regular and ad hoc pricing analysis and reporting for management. Monitor, analyze, and report on monthly Price Realization versus budget commitment. Independently develop new Excel models, charts, and graphs. May perform ad-hoc analysis on methods to optimize price through market and pricing strategies. May coordinate the quarterly and annual price increase process with Information Systems (IS), PMs, Sales Rep Assistant (SRA), marketing communications and pricing analyst.
Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor degree in Accounting Marketing or Finance
- Less than 2 years related experience
- Experience in finance, accounting, forecasting, cost accounting in a manufacturing environment, along with exceptional analytical skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of lift truck products, customers and market segments and Microsoft Power BI would be helpful.
