Childcare Assistant Teacher – Before & After School

Before and After Care Assistant Teachers (2025‑2026 School Year)

Healthy Kids Programs is looking for someone energetic and passionate about working with kids to join the team as Before and After Care Assistant Teachers.

Part‑time, non‑exempt

Winchester Trail Elementary School in Canal Winchester, OH

$14.50 per hour

7:00 – 9:25 a.m. and 3:05 – 6:00 p.m.

• Facilitate hands‑on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework assistance.
• Provide a safe, healthy, clean, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Report to the program ready to work at designated times and be prepared to stay until the last child leaves the program.
• Communicate daily with parents and family members via the Playground App.
• Observe and follow state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Certain positions may also perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.

• 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferably 1 year of experience working with kids under 13.
• Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB.
• Must be warm, friendly, and upbeat with exceptional people skills, professional, reliable, and prompt.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.) and keep up with the children.
