Role Description We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Construction Estimator to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing bid documents, and collaborating closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors. Your expertise will help ensure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards and controlling costs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse commercial construction projects, from initial bidding through project completion.
Responsibilities
Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop comprehensive estimates.Utilize industry-standard estimating software Pro-Est to prepare detailed cost proposals.Conduct site visits to gather on-the-ground information that influences accurate pricing and project planning.Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to solicit bids, negotiate prices, and secure competitive rates.Analyze project scope changes, manage cost control measures, and adjust estimates accordingly throughout the bidding process.Prepare detailed bid packages that include pricing, schedules, and contractual terms aligned with client requirements.Support project management teams during contract negotiations and assist in developing accurate project budgets.Seeks and qualifies new subcontractors to make sure they conform to company standards.Requirements
At least 5 years of proven experience in construction estimating within commercial projects.Strong knowledge of construction management principles, contracts, and project lifecycle processes.Proficiency with Pro-Est for digital document review and markup is highly preferred.Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with subcontractors and suppliers.Familiarity with construction site operations and safety standards to inform realistic estimates.Ability to perform detailed cost analysis, pricing strategies, and budget management effectively.Prior experience in construction site supervision or management is a plus but not required.Benefits
