- Attend pre-construction meetings to review prints, scopes of work, contracts, and schedules with the Project Manager and Estimator.
- Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.
- Ensure all required project notifications are completed (e.g., utility notifications).
- Confirm subcontractors have updated plans, specifications, and addenda before work begins.
- Assist with scheduling subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely project completion.
- Coordinate rental equipment delivery and pickup.
- Verify materials used meet plans and specifications.
- Ensure accurate tracking and documentation of delivered materials.
- Provide daily progress photos for documentation.
- Ensure adequate manpower and equipment are on-site.
- Adjust plans as needed due to delays, weather, or site issues.
- Coordinate on-site logistics, manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Ensure all work complies with plans, specifications, and contracts.
- Oversee site cleanup and return of rented equipment upon completion.
- Monitor cost control, job costing, forecasting, and productivity.
- Maintain a safe and clean job site in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Ensure weekly safety meetings are conducted.
- Investigate site incidents, delays, or damages.
- Coordinate change orders with project team members.
- Assist with punch list completion.
- Support estimating team with project-related inquiries.
- Coordinate with office/shop for equipment logistics.
- Note:
Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on project or business needs.
- Experience in civil construction safety is a plus
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with HCSS software is required
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- First Aid/CPR/AED training is a plus
- Willingness to travel extensively (75%+)
