Construction Safety Manager – Eastern U.S. Operations (Based in Nashville, TN)
The Tradesmen Group LLC (TTG) is seeking a highly organized and proactive Safety Manager to join our leadership team. This full-time role will support safety operations across Nashville, TN and TTG’s broader geographic footprint throughout the eastern United States . TTG is a nationally recognized, award-winning contractor specializing in historic building restoration and rehabilitation . We self-perform a wide range of trades including masonry, roofing, architectural metals, carpentry, and painting. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with TTG leadership and field teams to uphold and enhance safety standards
- Develop and maintain site-specific safety plans for all active projects
- Conduct regular safety inspections across multiple job sites (approx. 50% travel required)
- Lead safety training sessions and enforce compliance with OSHA and company protocols
- Investigate incidents and coordinate corrective actions, including workers’ compensation reporting
- Maintain OSHA 300 logs and all required documentation for TTG’s safety program
- Attend pre-construction and progress meetings (virtual and in-person)
- Support continuous improvement of safety procedures and incentive programs
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing safety on large commercial or government construction projects
- OSHA 500 certification required
- Strong understanding of multi-trade coordination and subcontractor oversight
- Experience in historic restoration preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and technical report writing
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Must pass drug screening and background check for Tier 1 Homeland Security clearance
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
