Construction Manager/ Foreman

Landscape Construction Foreman/Forewoman
The Landscape Construction Foreman/Forewoman is responsible for leading and supervising landscape construction crews on residential and commercial projects. This position oversees the installation of landscape improvements, including hardscapes, plantings, grading, drainage systems, irrigation components, and other landscape features, while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
Working closely with Project Managers and the Landscape Operations Manager, the Foreman/Forewoman coordinates daily job site activities, manages crew performance, maintains quality standards, and serves as the primary field representative for project execution. This position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to motivate crew members while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
The Foreman/Forewoman may occasionally communicate with client representatives and must be willing to work extended hours, weekends, and during varying weather conditions as project needs require.

Qualifications to perform this job successfully include:
Education and experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of landscape construction experience preferred.
- Previous supervisory or crew leadership experience preferred.
- Experience reading landscape plans, layouts, and construction drawings.
- Knowledge of landscape installation methods, grading, drainage, planting, and hardscape construction.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- CDL preferred but not required.
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification preferred.
- Industry certifications such as CLT (Certified Landscape Technician) are preferred.

- Laser Level / Transit

- Trenchers and grading equipment
- Landscape construction equipment as required
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb.
- Frequently use hands and arms for lifting, operating equipment, and performing construction tasks.
- Work for extended periods outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Regularly communicate with crew members, managers, vendors, and customers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical equipment, dust, noise, uneven terrain, and airborne particles. The employee may occasionally be exposed to vibration, chemicals, and other construction-related hazards.
The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to loud.
