Commercial Construction Plumbing Superintendent

Schnippel Construction, Inc. / Hayden Plumbing is seeking a plumber with 10 years’ experience looking to move into a supervisor role to oversee new commercial construction plumbing projects. • Supervise and assist plumbing crews, ensuring they are trained, skilled, and adhere to safety protocols.
• Ensure all plumbing installations comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Coordinate plumbing work with other trades (HVAC, electrical, general contractors) to ensure a smooth and efficient construction process.
• Manage project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure the project stays within budget.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to guide installations.
• Troubleshoot issues, identify and address problems that arise during construction, and ensure efficient resolution.
• Conduct regular inspections to monitor the project’s quality and ensure it meets project specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of materials, labor, and project timelines.
• Communicate effectively with operations manager, project managers and superintendents.
• Ensure a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors.
• Identify and document change orders and communicate them to the project manager.
• Generate daily log reports documenting jobsite activities and communication.
• Assist with testing to ensure proper installation and functioning of systems.
• Routinely inventory materials and list all materials that need purchased.

• Experience:
  
  Minimum 10 years of experience in plumbing or a plumbing superintendent with 2 years’ experience.
• Licenses/Certifications:
  
  Holding an Ohio Master Plumbing License is a Plus.
• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of plumbing systems and installation practices in commercial new construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and plumbing codes.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities to manage crew effectively.
• Other:
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus.

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00
